Temporada de huracanes
Hurricane Season is June 1 – November 30
Safety is SunRail’s top priority and in the event of severe weather, preparations are made to keep riders and the community safe.

In the event of severe weather, SunRail would like to remind the community that service will operate as scheduled but may be suspended up to 24 hours in advance if sustained winds are expected to reach 39 mph at ground level or flooding is expected. Preparations must be made along the railway in anticipation of such weather conditions.

Did You Know?
- Twenty-four hours before a severe storm approaches, all gates must be taken down or secured at 148 crossings, and railroad equipment and trains must be stored.
- After the storm, all gates must be reset, signals tested, and every foot of track along the corridor and all crossings must be inspected for any damage or debris.
- Any debris within four feet of the tracks must be cleared before service can be safely restored.
