All passengers must have in their possession a valid ticket or fare that:
- Covers the current date of travel
- Is not expired
- Covers the correct number of zones/counties
- Is activated in the mobile app or tapped/scanned at a TVU prior to boarding the train
- Is not locked or associated with a locked account
- Is not associated with an account that has a negative balance
Fare Options:
- Mobile ticket – purchased on the mobile app and activated prior to boarding
- Mobile pass – purchased on the mobile app and activated prior to boarding
- Paper ticket – purchased at TVM the day of travel and scanned on a TVU prior to boarding
- SunCard pass – tapped on a TVU prior to boarding
- SunCard stored value – tapped on a TVU prior to boarding
All passengers are required to present, upon request, one of the above proof-of-payment documents, and if it is determined that a customer does not have a valid fare, then the conductor or fare inspector will have the passenger exit the train.
