How to Transfer
SunRail works with Votran to provide a cost-effective option for our passengers. Bus-to-rail and rail-to-bus customers can transfer from one mode of transportation to the other.
Votran to SunRail Transfers
- Pay bus fare on Votran feeder bus route.
- Ask the Votran bus operator for a free transfer to SunRail.
- Take the Votran bus transfer to a SunRail ticket vending machine (TVM).
- Follow instructions on the TVMVotranscreen.
- Swipe transfer (which is valid for 90 minutes).
- Pay $1.00 upgrade for crossing each county line on SunRail (if necessary).
- Transfers are valid for a single transaction. After the transfer is swiped, a ticket must be purchased, or the transfer will no longer be valid.
SunRail to Votran Transfers
- Pay your train fare.
- Show the Votran bus operator your SunCard or one-way/round-trip ticket (mobile or paper).
- Receive one free transfer onto a feeder bus route that serves SunRail Stations.

Accessibility
LYNX service vehicles are also equipped with onboard wheelchair lifts that are deployed by the bus operator. Each station provides a clearly marked bus boarding area along an angled curb, allowing for independent bus departures and arrivals.

Votran is an independent public transportation provider operated by the Volusia County Public Transit System. While it may coordinate services with SunRail, it is not affiliated with, nor under the management of, SunRail.
